The Aerial Fitness Phenomenon

Aerial fitness merges art and athleticism. It's not just about building strength or flexibility; it's about experiencing fitness in its most dynamic and graceful form. Imagine working out mid-air, suspended on silks or a lyra, defying gravity and challenging your body in ways you'd never imagined.

The Roundabout Circus Experience

At Roundabout Circus, we’ve witnessed many adults ditch their gym memberships for the thrill of aerial arts. Each individual has a story, a journey that brought them here and we love to hear and share them, don’t forget to tell us about your journey, get in touch and let us know so that we can share your inspiration with others.

"Roundabout Circus is the most inviting and supportive community I have ever been a part of. I have been doing silks for just about a year there and have received the most comprehensive training with a deep understanding of holistic health. I couldn’t recommend their services enough!"

An aerialist holds on to a l yra upside down while whearing a blue costume. Her grip is strong and confident. While not essential grip aids can be a game-changer, especially for beginners. We have some chalk for use on the premises, but we highly recommend purchasing your own aids for health and hygiene reasons.

Some examples of things you can use are:

Holy Grip, and Dry Hands are examples liquids that are designed for sweaty hands, you can also apply basic low cost shaving foam to your legs, just rub on and don’t wash off, this can help your legs to stay where you want them to. You could also opt for fingerless gloves designed specifically for sports. This is not an option we would recommend for long term, as it is not going to help you adjust and strengthen your grip to interact with the apparatus. However, for early beginners, or people with very sweaty palms, if this is your barrier to entry, then by all means jump on in.

This is by no means an exhaustive list of options but gives you an idea of somwhere to start.
